• Continue publication of the Northside News and establish consistency and quality in every edition, better meeting and even exceeding the expectations of the community.

• Continue to expand NPC’s Community-based Economic Development capacity and partnerships to ensure implementation of the agency’s mission and encourage development and redevelopment opportunities throughout the Northside Neighborhood.

• Formalized a new partnership with WWBIC and Northside SOHO (Small Office | Home Office), creating an established meeting schedule for business training seminars on the Northside, and a process to better educate interested individuals of the WWBIC resources available for micro-lending.

• Implement a new website and develop effective use of social media for the benefit of the Northside. Create an Informational Database and Interactive Map to highlight the Northside’s demographic data and attempt to categorize economic data for easier business investment (partner with UW, NBA and business community).

• Created and now oversee an Economic Development Coalition of major partners on the Northside. Strengthen our presence in City decision making. Collaborate on local events that support our businesses and the Northside Neighborhood.

• Continue to research the potential creation of a Northside Business Improvement District (BID).

• Continue forward momentum in the development of FEED Innovation Kitchens (Community Kitchen Incubator).

• Support activities at the Dane County Regional Airport and promote the expansion of TID #40 or the appropriate use of TID funds, seeking opportunities to retain, expand and recruit businesses to the area.

• Continue work toward implementing the recommendations of the Northport-Warner-Sherman Neighborhood Plan (specifically, “branding” the Northside and advocating for aesthetic enhancements throughout the gateway commercial areas of the community).

• Promote community awareness and connectivity, celebrating the Northside’s diverse and unique cultural identity through NPC hosted community-wide meetings and potlucks, focusing on community outreach, public participation, leadership growth and information sharing.

• Continue annual fundraising campaigns and strengthening fiscal sponsorships and support.
